If you’ve not been to our 8 Medical Park Drive office lately we hope you’ll stop by when you’re in the area to check out our “Gallery” in the main lobby, whose natural light creates an ideal viewing environment. Come and spend a few moments enjoying the beauty of some fabulous works by local WNC artists. You might discover an artist you’re not yet familiar with, or even find a piece you want to take home with you – all art is available for sale! This June our partnership with local WNC artists who exhibit their work at this location continues with three new guest artists . We’re very excited to feature the art of Susan Meyer Sinyai, Mary Farmer and Josephine Pratt in this new installation. Susan Meyer Sinyai explores color, texture and light in the pastel and oil mediums. Mary Farmer’s encaustic paintings are most influenced by natural shapes and sights. A love of art and dance informs Josephine Pratt’s sculpture and enables her to translate the elements of movement, composition, expression and beauty to communicate emotion.
We started the collaborative program in 2013 and so far have hosted Jonas Gerard, Karen Keil Brown, Christine Dougherty and Alison Webb. We’re grateful to all of these talented artists for helping us share the visual arts with our patients and our staff! We’ll be showcasing each artist individually in future blogs so stay tuned!
